Hidden deep within the Annapurna region, Kapuche Glacier Lake is one of Nepal’s most stunning and least explored trekking destinations. Known as the lowest-altitude glacier lake in the world, Kapuche Lake sits at 2,540 meters (8,333 feet) and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding snow-covered peaks. This off-the-beaten-path trek takes you through dense forests, charming Gurung villages, and stunning landscapes before reaching the pristine glacial waters of Kapuche.
The 6-day Kapuche Glacier Lake Trek is a perfect adventure for those looking to explore Nepal’s untouched beauty while experiencing a mix of cultural and natural wonders. The journey is less crowded than other treks, making it ideal for those seeking solitude and raw Himalayan beauty.

Kapuche Lake is situated to the northeast of Sikles Village in the Kaski district of Nepal, within the Annapurna Conservation Area. It is recognized as the lowest altitude glacier lake in the world.
The lake is located at an elevation of approximately 2,546 meters (8,353 feet) above sea level.
The trek typically spans 4 days, starting from Pokhara and passing through villages such as Sikles and Hugu before reaching Kapuche Lake.
Accommodation primarily consists of basic teahouses and lodges along the trail, providing essential amenities such as beds and meals. In more remote sections, facilities may be limited, so carrying necessary supplies is advisable.
Prior trekking experience is not mandatory; however, a reasonable level of physical fitness is recommended to handle the daily hikes and varying terrain comfortably.
Trekkers need to obtain the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and a Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) card to access the region.
