In just 7 days, this trek takes you through serene landscapes, where nature’s untouched beauty is at its most raw and captivating.

Starting from the lively streets of Pokhara, you’ll soon leave behind the bustling city life and make your way to the serene heights of Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m). Here, at the base of Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail), the world-renowned mountain that inspired the trek’s name, you’ll feel the power and stillness of the Himalayas like never before.

With moderate difficulty and a perfect combination of nature, culture, and spirituality, this trek is ideal for anyone seeking a shorter but deeply immersive experience in the Annapurna region. The Mardi Himal Trek offers everything an adventurer could ask for: breathtaking mountain views, lush rhododendron forests, friendly mountain communities, and the exhilarating sense of standing in the shadow of some of the world’s highest peaks.

Best Seasons to Trek Mardi Himal

Spring (March–May): The perfect time for trekking, as the rhododendrons bloom, and the weather is warm, with clear skies for the best views of the mountains.

Autumn (September–November): The weather is stable, with clear skies and excellent visibility. This is considered the peak season for trekking in Nepal.

Winter (December–February): While it can be challenging due to cold temperatures and snow, winter trekking offers a peaceful, less crowded experience.

Monsoon (June–August): Not recommended due to heavy rainfall, slippery trails, and the risk of landslides.
