The best time to trek Thorong La Pass is:

Take a scenic drive through the lush countryside, passing rivers, terraced fields, and small villages before reaching Besisahar, the gateway to the Annapurna region. Continue the drive to Dharapani by Jeep.
Begin your trek through forests and waterfalls, enjoying breathtaking views of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II as you make your way to Chame, a beautiful village nestled in the valley.
Trek along the Marsyangdi River Valley, passing through charming villages and alpine forests. The landscape starts to change as you ascend to Pisang, offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Trekkers need the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and the Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) card. These permits can be obtained in Kathmandu or Pokhara.
While not mandatory, hiring a guide and porter can enhance safety, provide local insights, and assist with carrying gear. Guides can be arranged in Kathmandu or Pokhara.
Essential items include warm clothing, a down jacket, thermal base layers, waterproof gear, trekking poles, a sleeping bag rated for -10°C, and a first aid kit.
