Itinerary

Arrive in Kathmandu, where you will be greeted by our representative. After a transfer to your hotel, we will provide a trek briefing and finalize any last-minute preparations.

Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, which is the gateway to the Dolpo region. Spend the night in Nepalgunj and prepare for the next day's flight.

Catch a 45-minute flight from Nepalgunj to Juphal, where the trek begins. From here, trek along the Bheri River to reach Dunai, the district headquarters of Dolpo.

Follow the Thuli Bheri River as you trek towards Tarakot, a charming village that serves as a gateway to the higher Dolpo region.

The trail ascends through narrow gorges and steep cliffs. The landscape starts to feel more remote as you approach the village of Laini.

Continue through high cliffs and rocky terrain as you make your way to Nawarpani, a small village where you will rest for the night.

Gradually climb to Dho Tarap, a Tibetan-influenced village surrounded by rugged mountains. This area is known for its strong Tibetan culture.

Take a day to acclimatize to the altitude while exploring the local monasteries and experiencing Bon culture, the ancient Tibetan religion.

Leave Dho Tarap and trek towards Numa La Base Camp, passing through yak pastures and barren landscapes. The higher altitude provides spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

Cross the Numa La Pass, one of the highest points of the trek, with incredible panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri and Kanjirowa Himal ranges. Descend to Pelung Tang for the night.

Today, cross the second high pass, the Baga La Pass, and descend towards Ringmo, a beautiful village on the shore of Shey Phoksundo Lake.

Explore the breathtaking Shey Phoksundo Lake, known for its deep blue waters. Visit the ancient Tshowa Monastery, which dates back over 900 years.

Trek back to Juphal, following the Bheri River valley, where you will return to the gateway of Dolpo.

Take an early morning flight back to Nepalgunj, and then a connecting flight to Kathmandu. Arrive in Kathmandu for a final night in the city.
